The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class has family-carrying goods of a large wagon, without general SUV disruptions. One of the brand’s best-selling models and for good reason: the GLE is a safe bet with top-of-the-range features and a wide range of personalization options.
GLE can be configured as a Coupe or as a more traditional SUV. The coupe has an inclined roof line, which makes the overall silhouette more elegant, but takes the required headroom from the inside. We use the SUV in every way, with more utilitarian style and the choice of extra room inside. Mercedes features the GLE models – GLE350, GLE550e, AMG GLE43 and GLE63 – with rich interiors.

Even in the basic form, the 302-horsepower V-6 and 7-speed automatic transmission provide a vivid acceleration and a fast driving experience. The plug-in hybrid adds electric motors to the package and accelerates the acceleration significantly up to 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds. The AMG pulsed GLEs are not breathtaking in their performance, they are 0-60 mph times in five to six seconds and they offer the best SUV offers from other German car manufacturers.
The GLE-Class can tighten up to five adults, but is more suitable for four people, especially Coupe. Seats are comfortable and AMG-shaped models are upgraded to heavier and supplemented seating areas. Cargo area is good, but Coupe models are less than inclined roofed.
2019 The GLE-Class’s safety focus has been awarded a Top Safety Pick designation from last year’s IIHS. Features such as blind spot monitors and surround-view cameras provide more interior comfort.
GLE is lacking basic form equipment, but the standard COMAND infotainment system doesn’t work as well as some systems. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto help to make the experience more intuitive and simple, but buyers will have to take an expensive option package for privilege.
The interior is often in line with the rest of the Mercedes artist and carries a sporting sensation. Sports seats, a smaller steering wheel and a variable infotainment display take a clean and modern look.
The COMAND control unit and touch pad dominate the center console and can be equipped with carbon fiber, wood or synthetic leather.
The GLE550e experience is not choreographed as in other GLE models. The current driving mode cannot be fully used without selecting the correct driving mode, but the GLE550e will still make a 5.3-second cut at 0-60 mph.
Both SUV and Coupe models can be massaged by the AMG, which significantly improves the mix. The GLE43 gets a twin-turbo 3.0 liter V-6 with 385 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque; pushes its power with 9-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. It is a powerful combination and is sufficient for 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds.
The top GLE-Class models are GLE63 and GLE63S. The twin-turbo V-8 engines deliver 550 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque at the GLE63 or 577 hp and 561 lb-ft at the S variant. Acceleration is productive, the GLE63S reaches 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds. The straight line performance is not as aggressive as the Cayenne Turbo, but is still exciting.
The GLE-Class offers Individual, Comfort, Slippery, Sport and Sports + modes to ensure maximum traction in a particular situation. The modes control the powertrain and steering as well as the suspension and drivetrain.
The 2019 GLE-Class has very good front seats, superior fit and finish and a large number of cargo rooms. Our quality measurement is good enough to earn 10 out of 10, our only big complaint is that the rear seat cannot sit comfortably as you advertise.
Front passengers are cared for in seats with plenty of support and contours in the right places. Only the driver’s seat is powered by default – receivers need to take extra money for the electric passenger seat, even on the most expensive models. Synthetic leather is standard on base models and not so bad. AMG models add stronger support to the seats and more adjustment angles.
The front seat room and storage space are ample, but the second row of passengers will have trouble squeezing three. However, long passengers can ride comfortably.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class 2019 has earned 6 out of 6 of our features, with plenty of power train, body style and adjustment level options. The warranty requires only an average value, a wise infotainment system, a spending on Apple and Android interfaces to override.
The initial price of $ 50,000 is buying standard power features, synthetic leather, Bluetooth, electric driver’s seat, electric tailgate, electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 19-inch wheels and 8.0-inch information entertainment unit.
The audio system includes USB, Bluetooth audio streaming and an old CD player. Upgrades include a Harman Kardon or Bang & Olufsen system with HD radio and audio storage.
